Why go to Krakow?
Visiting this lively, wonderful city from Budapest is definitely a must for everyone. This former royal capital to Poland is full of history and has a fantastic nightlife. Walking through the cobblestoned streets through the Old Town and its main square, gives you a magnificent atmosphere of great architecture and design. The city is filled with students, so there is plenty of choice for a good bar, night club or lounge. Krakow also offers notable excursions out of town such as the Wieliczka Salt Mine and to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps. The last mentioned excursion might not seem to fit into the typical cheerful holiday trip, but it is most definitely an intense and emotional experience, which actually cannot be missed.
